| We are in the age of information overload; We humans are highly subjective; Rarely, if ever do we seek the optimum solution; A good decision must be: Reliable, Consistent and Timely; Decision-making is fraught with risks and uncertainties; Even quantitative data, require qualitative transformation; The human mind is limited to 7 +/- 2 items; You need a different focus to solve your own problems; Experts have more data than judgment; Decision-making is unique to each individual. |

| Planning requires you to make decisions at every level; Clarity of objective is the starting point in decision-making; We have many inherent traits/limitation; We are challenged by a multitude of external factors; Culture is probably most significant trait; Information is subject to interpretation. |

| Session 3: Criteria, Candidates and the "pairwise" technique (60 min.) |
| All decisions are governed by a set of criteria and candidates; Criteria - "more is not better"; Criteria segregation: Prerequisites; Obligatory and Desirables; Do not pre-assign criteria weights; Do not use the matrix method, it is seriously flawed; Group comparison is highly subjective and inconsistent; The "pairwise" technique is easy, reliable and consistent; The 7-step method will guide you to the optimum decision. |

| Individuals in a team make often decisions. Consolidating such decisions requires a structured methodology. XpertUS provides for consolidating decisions. Additionally it is ideal for "what-if" scenario studies. |
